Job Summary: The Wisconsin Athletics Creative Director is responsible for the creative output of the department, including the development and maintenance of a consistent brand identity across all sports and consumer touchpoints.Responsibilities:

10% Develops, implements, and maintains work unit identity, design standards, policies, and procedures to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources20% Develops and monitors creative communication plans and dissemination protocols, workflows, and progress measurements to ensure production adheres to unit objectives in alignment with strategic initiatives20% Directs all design work for the unit including research and art direction for in-house and/or freelance creative professionals20% Oversees brand strategy, ensuring consistent brand identity in all materials produced by unit and alignment with institutional brand standards and branding objectives5% Creates, designs, and produces artwork per client specifications through various mediums10% Serves as a subject matter expert and liaison between external and internal stakeholders providing information regarding creative design strategies and representing the interests of the unit10% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees5% Develops and maintains unit budget(s) and financial records to ensure adherence with institution and rules and regulationsInstitutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
