The Photography Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a photography department or team. They coordinate and execute photography projects, ensure the quality and consistency of images produced and manage the workflow and resources of the department. They are also responsible for staff photographer training and development, developing photography guidelines and standards, and collaborating with other departments or clients to meet their photography needs.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversees all aspects of the organization's photography and video assets both in-studio (table-topsets) and in outside environments.Partners with Creative Director to develop campaigns, locations, props, and lighting concepts.Determines lighting and exposure requirements needed to produce quality images.Produces photography and schedules the work of photographers to ensure that work meets creative expectations and requirements, and is delivered prior to sales or marketing deadlines.Styles sets and directs models on set, and all other needs as necessary to make lifestyle shoots come to life.Utilizes digital asset management tool to name, save, and archive images and maintains master image archive in an organized manner.Responsible for sizing, naming, and retouching of all shots.Responsible for maintenance of photographic and studio equipment, and cleanliness of the studio.Stays up-to-date on industry best practices, trends and new technologies.Requirements:

Degree in Photography or related field, or 5+ years of photography experience required.Must have a portfolio of recent work that demonstrates technical and creative photography skills.Experience with difficult studio lighting situations preferred.Proficiency with Nikon and Sony equipment preferred.Experience with Lightroom, Capture One, and Adobe Photoshop software required.Excellent technical and creative problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Flexible, detail-oriented with a positive attitude. Must be comfortable and proactive with constructive feedback.Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong interest and ability to acquire and maintain knowledge of market and fashion trends.Good understanding of Microsoft Office products to include Outlook and Excel.Need to add must have reasonable transportation and can lift over 25 lbs.Ability to successfully complete an annual motor vehicle record check and acknowledge Shoe Carnival's Driver Safety policy.
