Full-time position that leads agency-wide marketing and development functions.

Responsibilities

Fundraising

Create and implement an annual Fund Development Plan to provide stability and sustainability.

Ensure diversification of funding resources with special focus on grants, individual donors, and corporate sponsors.

Manage grant contractor relationships and ensure grant/foundation support aligns with the LifeSmart Youth mission.

Implement events in coordination with CEO, Board, and staff.

Develop and coordinate external and internal donor appeals and campaigns.

Deepen donor/funder engagement and loyalty to LifeSmart Youth.

Implement fundraising efforts in collaboration with the CEO, Board, and staff.

Ensure revenue exceeds expenses in the year-end actual annual budget.

Maintain strong fundraising partnerships that support and engage key organizations.

Demonstrate appreciation to all donors and funders on behalf of LifeSmart Youth so they feel valued.

Uphold the “Donor Rights” as advocated by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Maintain the integrity of LifeSmart Youth’s mission and strategy throughout all fundraising efforts.

Ensure Development outcomes are being met according to LifeSmart Youth’s Strategic Plan.

Oversee donor and sponsor fulfillment, acknowledgement, and recordkeeping in Salesforce.

Oversee solicitation of silent and live auction item donations.

Plan and implement Development & Marketing Committee meetings and Board-related development efforts.

Maximize Board and staff member engagement through campaigns, events, donor relations, etc.

Marketing

Assist in the planning, development, and posting of daily social media posts for LifeSmart Youth’s social media pages for fund development and marketing.

Support LifeSmart Youth marketing efforts.

Oversee coordination of publishing TrustED Adults bi-monthly tips.

Serve as a liaison with marketing firms to coordinate campaigns, events, etc.

Oversee publishing of quarterly e-newsletter with marketing firm coordination.

Oversee the development of the Marketing Plan.

Actively communicate the agency’s mission to funders, donors, and the community.

Administrative

Manage and coordinate donor, funder, and partner database.

Attend Board of Directors meetings as needed.

Serve as Liaison to the Development & Marketing Committee.

Supervise Development & Marketing Coordinator.

Maintain memberships in fundraising-related organizations (GPA, AFP, etc.)

Be familiar with personnel policies and procedures and the annual strategic plan of LifeSmart Youth.

Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of LifeSmart Youth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Development field is preferred with at least five years of fundraising experience; however, equivalent related work experience may be considered. Fund development certification also preferred. Exceptional writing, research and proofreading skills with interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated cultural competencies are essential. Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office software required, database experience a plus. Must pass applicable criminal history background checks.

Abilities

To perform this job successfully the employee in this position must be able to demonstrate at least functional proficiency in most core competencies. Must be an energetic self-starter, demonstrate an ability to function in a team environment or independently, and relate well to co-workers and the public. This position requires flexibility and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks with moderate supervision. The position requires coordination and collaboration with staff, consultants, vendors, and partners. Must be detail-oriented, prompt, able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and have a high attention to detail. The position also requires the exercise of good judgment and adherence to a strong code of ethics, and strong interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve.

$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
