The Director, Marketing Communication & Brand will support the VP, Marketing in developing, implementing, and executing marketing projects that deliver on marketing and sales goals, with a focus on communication and brand. This position will create a consistent message across channels, grow market position, drive engagement, and increase brand awareness. Some travel may be expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Communication & Content:

Responsible for creating and overseeing the content strategy and production while maintaining brand consistency across channels – internal/external comms, email, events, social media, web, press, etc. Familiarity with WordPress web design a plus.

Coordinate with and oversee outside talent, partners, and freelancers by setting and achieving milestones across design, photo capture, content creation, public relations, social media, and awards.

Develop and execute corporate communication strategies, ensuring clear and consistent messaging while maintaining the utmost discretion and privacy regarding sensitive information.

Oversee the content library, ensuring that all materials, including RFP responses, are up to date, organized, and aligned with brand messaging to support effective communication and proposal efforts.

Serve as the primary liaison between the creative department and the marketing team, coordinating projects from concept to execution to ensure brand consistency and alignment with strategy for timely delivery.

Conduct market research, follow trends, and report on findings to increase brand awareness and lead generation for new business development.

Develop search engine marketing strategies with the Marketing Manager to engage target audiences and improve organic search rankings. Experience in SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics preferred.

Consult on advertising/brand campaigns, including planning, budget, timelines, production, and execution.

Proactively identify ways to improve customer journeys through content across various marketing channels.

Track and analyze content performance metrics to optimize approach.

Branding & Reputation

Oversee and enhance external branding initiatives, ensuring cohesive visual presentation across office spaces, staff, and client interactions to strengthen brand identity.

Monitor brand perception and client satisfaction metrics (NPS) to identify areas for improvement and suggest strategies for enhancement.

Implement proactive measures to manage brand reputation and address potential crises effectively.

Maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure visual and messaging consistency across all marketing materials.

Track and analyze brand performance metrics, such as brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty, and adjust strategies accordingly.

General:

Track team’s performance against KPIs to identify opportunities to improve department performance, increase brand scale, and enhance efficiency of marketing spend.

Work collaboratively across the organization to make sure that development, client, and new business marketing needs are realized.

Act as a role model in growth and leadership behaviors.

Develop, manage, and adhere to budgets.

Take initiative and maintain focus.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages 1 - 4 employees in the Marketing Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

College degree or university program certificate; and 5 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to professionally write and edit reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Other Skills and Abilities
