Haddad is the leading children’s wear manufacturer representing iconic American brands such as Nike, Brand Jordan, Converse, Hurley, and Levi’s. Our talented professionals are leaders in design, sourcing, sales, and global distribution. With over 15 locations and 800 employees globally, we are the number one children’s wear company in the world.Overview:The Senior Designer will work cross-functionally with Graphic Design, Sales, and Merchandising to oversee multiple design areas while facilitating the design and merchandising of apparel lines.Key Accountabilities:Shop the market to research and identify current trends and present competitive data related to their area of responsibility to establish key objectives for the brand.Ensure accuracy of tech packs and design catalog.Manage the overall design process to ensure that the design team meets business needs according to the design time and action calendar.Oversee the design process to ensure that lines meet style plans, sales needs, and emerging trends.Present concepts and vision in licensor and sales meetings.Work closely with Sales and Merchandising teams to conceptualize and launch clothing lines for various levels of distribution.Supervise and provide feedback regarding sampling communication between the sample room, Design, and cross-functional teams as needed.Recruit top talent, train, and develop team members.Oversee Fashion Show concepting, styling, and go-sees.Supervise design staff and provide direction and management throughout the design process.Special projects as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design.8+ years of experience in the fashion industry (children’s wear knowledge a plus).Ability to travel as needed.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail.Ability to lead and develop a team of designers at all levels.Brand appropriate aesthetic.Consistent in-office presence is vital to the role as it is for all Haddad Brands team members, ensuring a full appreciation of the qualities that define our brand partners’ products and set them apart from their competitors.
