We aim to foster a deep sense of trust and affinity for our brands, achieved through creative excellence and innovative marketing strategies.The Director of Social will be responsible for driving revenue and growth through innovative organic social media strategies within the Global Social team and work across our portfolio of brands. This role will oversee a global team, ensuring that our social media efforts align with overall business objectives and serve as a powerful engine for growth.This role reports to the Senior Director - Global Head of Social, Global Communications based in West Hollywood and will work closely with the Social Media leadership, Global Communications and Marketing teams at Expedia Group.In this role, you will:Revenue-Driven Strategies:

Develop and implement organic social media strategies that drive revenue and growth across diverse global markets, considering cultural nuances and regional preferences.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that social media efforts align with overall business objectives and drive customer acquisition and retention.Data-Driven Decision Making:

Utilize data and analytics to identify opportunities for growth, optimize social media performance, and measure ROI.Content Optimization:

Ensure engaging content drives conversions and encourages customer action.Paid Social Integration:

Leverage paid boosting and advertising to amplify organic reach and drive traffic.Influencer/Creator Partnerships:

Collaborate with influencers and creators to develop authentic and impactful partnerships that drive sales and brand awareness.Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a large global team of social media professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure they are aligned with revenue goals.Budget Management:

Effectively manage social media budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to drive maximum ROI.Experience and qualifications:Minimum 12 years of experience in organic social media marketing, with a proven track record of driving revenue and growth.Minimum 5 years managing and leading global teams.Deep understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms.Experience with paid social advertising and influencer/creator marketing.Strong analytical skills and ability to measure and report on performance.Clear understanding of social media CMS and Analytics tools including Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Tubular, etc.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Passion for the power of social media and a desire to stay up-to-date on industry trends.A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex plans.Proven ability to manage high-performing social media teams.Preferred:

Fluency in multiple languages, experience in the travel industry, and/or experience in large-matrixed organizations.The total cash range for this position in Austin is $196,000.00 to $274,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $196,000.00 to $274,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.The total cash range for this position in West Hollywood is $196,000.00 to $274,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
