KAT & Company, a positive-impact creative agency in Bismarck, North Dakota, is hiring an experienced

Director of Photography (DP, Video)

to lead our video production team in creating high quality engaging and effective video for our clients and our proprietary narrowcast networks.

All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.Responsibilities This role’s primary responsibilities should converge to ensure high quality videography for both client and internal projects.Work closely with executive producer and director (when applicable) to dictate the vision and style of the project.Choose appropriate cameras, lenses and lighting equipment based on project’s needs.Manage on-set production crew.Execute or oversee all visual aspects of production including camera work, lighting and shot composition, ensuring the highest quality technical and creative outcome.Review footage immediately after shoots to ensure quality and mitigate issues in the edit.Occasional editing or rough cuts; collaboration with post production team for seamless creative execution.Research new trends and techniques and when appropriate, implement them into production work to help build the skills of production team.Manage and coach direct reports including second videographer and production assistant including timesheet review, one-on-one meetings, and employee development.Maintain studio and production equipment; research, vet and recommend purchases for the video department.Qualifications

5+ years of experience in videography or a related field; Bachelor’s degree in film or video production is a plus.Strong creative vision and storytelling ability.Extensive knowledge of cameras, lenses, lighting, and other production equipment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong leadership and management skills.Bonus Qualifications

Proficiency in video editing software, preferably as Adobe Premiere Pro.Scriptwriting and storyboarding experience.Experience managing production budgets and timelines.Competitive Salary
