Overview:
The primary purpose of this role is to support the pastor and the parish in the communication of the good news of our parish, our mission, and our welcome to the community.

While month to month events may alter the time involved, it is anticipated that this role will require approximately 16 but no more than 24 hours per month. While the majority of the work will be done remotely and at times of their own discretion, the role will be expected to meet briefly once per week at an established time with the pastor to align on key messaging.Requirements:Coordinate with all stakeholders to coordinate external communication on a timely basis via all approved media (bulletin, Facebook, MyParish app etc.), in addition to being the primary “editor” of the parish website. This includes gathering pictures and “stories” to support the marketing/message of our mission.In collaboration with the pastor and principal, develop and submit select stories to local media (i.e. Today’s Catholic, local TV etc.).Provide and update a welcome and orientation guide to new parishioners and school parents.Create, design and post (digital and hard copy) promotional flyers and related material for specified school and church events.Work in very close collaboration with all parish and school staff members to ensure harmony and timeliness with all internal events/activities.This is a non-management position.This is a part-time position.
