The Director, Design role is responsible for creating breakthrough creative expressions of TIAA across all touch points with a passion for storytelling through design. This individual will produce work for both Institutional and Consumer audiences that will be distributed through a range of channels from digital display advertising to brochures and events. The role calls for a designer with the flexibility to create modern social media posts, engaging brochures/flyers, evocative display ads, powerful email headers, clean and powerful PowerPoint slides, and professional event signage.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Execute on creative concepts through design that compel action in its intended audiences

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure breakthrough and relevant outcomes

Design and update a full spectrum of design projects, including PowerPoint slides

Ensure all project requests are met and effectively prioritized.

Ensure the work is consistent with brand standards and visual identity

Work with offshore team members to ensure seamless project handoff to maximize speed

Manage projects and tasks through WorkFront project management system

Educational Requirements

University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of marketing design experience including building a brand, overseeing brand guidelines, standards, and visual identity

Preferred Qualifications:

7+ years of marketing design experience including building a brand, overseeing brand guidelines, standards, and visual identity

Demonstrated track record of design, with samples

Exceptional design skills

Demonstrated understanding of modern, digital design

High degree of proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and PowerPoint

Dynamically manages workload and priorities on a day-to-day, hour-to-hour basis to ensure all project requests are met and effectively prioritized, despite a heavy workload

Experience in financial services

Ability to simplify and streamline content

Experience with content management systems

Works with high degree of urgency on tasks and is highly responsive to partner requests at all levels

Design-first mindset

Digital native

Strong organization and file management

Base Pay Range: $119,300/yr. - $164,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
