Communications Manager
for a non-profit insurance client located in
Chicago, IL . The ideal candidate will come with
5+ years
of experience. This is a
part-time mat-leave coverage fill (30/hrs per week), hybrid (in office roughly 2x's a month) ,
4 month
contract ( mid. January-May ) opportunity. Compensation for this position is expected to be
$25-30/hour
depending on experience level and fit.

oversee internal communications and stakeholders, implement communication plans, including media and content relations, public relations, corporate messaging, and digital communications .What You’ll Do:Work to increase visibility for the profession and the company, positioning the organization as a thought leader and ensuring messaging is consistent with mission, strategy, value statements, and voice.Lead in supporting organization-wide initiatives across various business units (Professional Development, Events, Member and Candidate Engagement).Assist in executing high-profile announcements, internal communications initiatives, and integrated marketing/communications programs.Be an exceptional project manager with attention to detail, highly organized, and a strong communicator.Be a self-starter who is willing and able to roll up their sleeves and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment.Manage daily operations for the communications/content team consisting of a Sr. Content Specialist.Organize projects and plan event rollouts, draft events, marketing campaigns, social media, web copy, content, etc.Support candidates and member growth for professional development.What You’ll Need:Education/Experience:
5-6+ years project management or similar experience required.Bachelor's Degree in a related field.Background with a non-profit association/insurance company preferred.
