Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits.Description:Working under the direction and collaboration with the Director of Creative & Brand, the Marketing & Strategic Communications videographer will be responsible for producing high-quality video & still content that effectively communicates the mission, values, and services of UI Health. This role involves capturing, editing, and delivering compelling visual stories that highlight patient experiences, medical advancements, staff achievements, and community outreach initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a deep understanding of healthcare environments, and the ability to create content that resonates with diverse audiences.Duties & Responsibilities:Plan, film, and edit videos/stills that align with the organization's marketing and communications goals. This includes patient stories, promotional videos, educational content, interviews, and event coverage.Maintain and enhance the institution's brand identity and reputation, ensuring consistency in messaging and visual identity across all communications platforms and materials.Coordinate logistics for video shoots, including scheduling, location scouting, equipment preparation, and obtaining necessary permissions within the healthcare environment.Edit raw footage into polished videos/stills, including color correction, audio mixing, adding graphics, and integrating music, ensuring a professional and consistent final product.Maintain and manage video production equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working order and ready for use in various healthcare settings.Work closely with the marketing and communications team, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure video content meets strategic objectives and adheres to HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.Organize and archive video footage, ensuring that all content is easily accessible for future use and complies with data retention policies.Travel to different UI Health clinics or facilities for filming within the Chicagoland area.Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Required:Bachelor's degree in film/video production, cinematography, radio and television, documentary film production, photojournalism, communications, graphic design, or a closely related field to the position.One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in areas including non-linear video editing, motion graphics, video lighting and composition, camera operation, graphics design, audio recording, video production, or a closely related professional area.NOTE: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.Preferred Qualifications:3 years of professional work experience in areas including non-linear video editing, motion graphics, video lighting and composition, camera operation, graphics design, audio recording, video production, or a closely related professional area.Proficient in using video production equipment (cameras, lighting, microphones) and video and image editing software (Mac OS, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, LightRoom).Experience filming 4k footage using industry standard formats (ProRes RAW), using Sony FX3/A7s III, Sony A7r III still camera, Atmos Ninja recorders, and DJI Ronin Gimbals.Experience in delivering properly formatted content for YouTube, Vimeo, and social platforms.Strong understanding of narrative techniques and the ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with a diverse audience, including patients, healthcare professionals, and the general public.Meticulous approach to editing, ensuring videos are free of errors and adhere to the organization's branding and messaging guidelines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and healthcare professionals.Familiarity with healthcare settings, including an understanding of HIPAA regulations, patient privacy concerns, and the sensitivities involved in capturing medical content is preferred.Ability to troubleshoot issues during filming and editing, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.To Apply:
