The Social Media and Content Manager is a key member of the corporate and marketing communications team. As a team, we are the brand ambassadors for RxBenefits, maintaining and enhancing the company’s brand as a disruptive force for good in the pharmacy benefits industry. We support and enhance the company brand and growth in both audience-agnostic and -centric channels, and help foster employee engagement with powerful, consistent messaging. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, the Social Media Manager develops and executes a robust social media calendar that supports the company’s corporate and marketing communications goals, helping to increase brand awareness, engagement, and affinity amongst internal and external audiences.

Position Overview

RxBenefits seeks a dynamic Social Media and Content Manager to lead our digital storytelling, brand communications, and marketing campaigns across various platforms with a primary focus on corporate social channels. With a thorough understanding of the pharmacy benefit industry and RxBenefits' value proposition, the Social Media and Content Manager will develop engaging content—ads, short-form posts, videos, and long-form articles.

This role demands initiative, urgency, and accountability, with the ability to pivot seamlessly between projects while meeting deadlines. The Social Media and Content Manager will identify and execute content needs, supporting overall company goals through strong collaboration and relationship-building. Excellent project management skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

Maintain an intimate understanding of RxBenefits products, services, and industry positions to quickly identify opportunities to position the company as a market leader.

Establish and maintain a brand and corporate social media program that supports and enhances RxBenefits brand identity.

Use creative storytelling to help craft engaging content with a primary focus on social media.

Build, own, and maintain RxBenefits’ social media brand through a comprehensive plan to help grow our online presence and consistently outpace competitors.

Collaborate with marketing colleagues and internal SMEs to build and execute a balanced social calendar for both promotional and consultative content.

Work closely with the rest of the corporate communications and content to support the broader editorial calendar.

Curate and refresh existing content for social media.

Increase employee/HR/DEI content.

Support executive social media content and calendar, ensuring cross-posting and engagement between executives and brand channels.

Engage with key organizations and publications' social handles, focusing on LinkedIn.

Monitor company social media platforms and Google for comments and respond/escalate for resolution as appropriate.

Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring campaign momentum while tackling larger initiatives.

Use Asana to create, assign, and manage projects from ideation through production.

Qualifications

BA/BS in journalism, communications, or related field.

Pharmacy/PBM experience preferred.

5-7 years of experience developing content across platforms with a focus on social media.

Deep understanding of major social media platforms, with the ability to tailor approaches for platform-specific results.

Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills.

Ability to write high-performing content across social media channels, formats, and audiences.

Ability to transition between marketing and corporate communications focused content needs.

Strong knowledge of AP style and ability to quickly get up-to-speed with brand style.

Comfortable using multimedia.

Software Proficiency

Direct experience using social media management tools (such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social).

Basic knowledge of CMS platforms, such as WordPress.

Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, digital advertising channels, and SEO.

Understanding of how to use SEO research tools.

Familiarity with virtual meeting and webinar hosting platforms such as Teams, GoToMeeting, Zoom, GoToWebinar, and ON24.

Ability to post content to SlideShare, YouTube, and other social channels.

Understanding of how to use AI tools to help content development.
