Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Make sure to read the full description below.Los Angeles, CaliforniaThe Interactive Media & Games Division within USC's School of Cinematic Arts is seeking an adjunct faculty member in the field of Interactive Media and Games with a specialty in digital media and visual expression, with an emphasis on games and interactivity.We are looking for a working artist or professional with experience in visual storytelling vocabulary (i.e., film/video) and digital media development (i.e., games and interactive media). Our program is a vibrant and exciting community of designers, scholars, and researchers, committed to the advancement of the digital arts, situated within a larger school dedicated to the craft of storytelling and user experience from diverse perspectives. The position will teach design and building courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, covering topics ranging from introductory design to systems thinking.Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's DegreeMinimum Experience:3+ years as a designer, artist, or engineer working on independent and AAA video games.Experience teaching or mentoring students in design or visual expression.Good communication skills, project planning, and professional rigor and ethics.Preferred Education:

Master's DegreePreferred Experience:7+ years as a designer, artist, or engineer working on independent and AAA video games.Experience teaching design or visual expression classes.USC reserves the 'Adjunct' appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year but, in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.The core salary range for this position is $32-$38 per hour.
