Your role will focus on identifying key market opportunities, expanding the client base, and enhancing the company’s presence worldwide.

In this position, you will craft and implement strategies that align with the company’s broader goals while cultivating and maintaining relationships with high-level executives and industry leaders. You will oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiations, ensuring the development of a robust pipeline of opportunities.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure that business development initiatives support the company's overall objectives. You will provide valuable insights into market trends and challenges, ensuring the organization stays competitive and continues to grow its market share. This role reports directly to the Group CEO and involves close collaboration with the board of directors.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Strategy:

Formulate and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s long-term objectives, with a focus on revenue growth, client acquisition, and global market expansion.

Market Identification:

Identify new market opportunities, conduct thorough research, and develop targeted strategies to engage high-potential clients across different regions.

Networking and Relationship Building:

Leverage your existing network and build new connections with top executives, industry leaders, and influencers by attending high-profile events, conferences, and networking functions.

Client Management:

Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.

Lead Generation:

Create strategies to generate qualified leads and manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals, driving consistent business growth.

Market Analysis:

Continuously monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to inform decision-making, ensuring the company stays ahead of industry shifts and capitalises on new opportunities.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Skills and Experience Required

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Experience:

A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in business development or client relations, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building strong client relationships. Experience in the media industry is an advantage, though not required.

Client Relationship Management:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence top executives, stakeholders, and decision-makers at the highest levels.

Networking Expertise:

Extensive network within the executive community and industry influencers, with the ability to leverage these connections to create business opportunities.

Strategic Leadership:

A visionary leader who can think strategically, anticipate market trends, and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.

Market Insight:

A deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and industry trends, with the ability to translate these insights into actionable business development strategies.

Adaptability:

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proven track record of achieving results in both stable and volatile market conditions.

Analytical Thinking:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions to optimise business performance.
