Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division.Are you a talented Editor and Technical Writer with an affinity for software? If so, then this might be the position for you.Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a talented and passionate Software Editor and Technical Writer to join our dynamic Minotaur software development team in our Hanover, MD location.As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer-focused content for technical and non-technical audiences. You will write and update user guides, release notes, and other technical documentation that supports the Minotaur software. You will collaborate and work within a sprint structure with managers, developers & cyber.As a subject matter expert, you will assist in the configuration management processes and technical documentation standardization across the organization.Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.Minimum Qualifications

6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.Strong editing and proofreading skillsProficient in Microsoft Word formatting and collaborative editing methodologiesFamiliar with general software development processesDesire to learn more about operator approaches to utilizing software to understand sensor dataMust be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a US level Secret clearancePreferred Requirements

A Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer SciencePrevious experience as an Editor and Technical WriterStrong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Previous experience working with sensor dataPossess an active US level Secret clearancePhysical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
