The Pharma Solutions Design Manager role will design and develop cold chain solutions for new or existing businesses within the Life Science Healthcare sector (Pharma) in coordination with sector counterparts around the globe. Agility is needed as you translate customer needs into operational processes, complete financial analysis, and work with a number of colleagues and partners to finalize a customer-specific solution.As a commercial operator and solution design leader, you are a sector subject matter expert whose main objective is to develop innovative and realistic logistics solutions that meet the customer's requirements in terms of cost, quality, and performance. Train and manage the operations team to deliver the expected results. These solutions comprise packaging and lane validations, developing standard operating procedures, participating and supporting quality audits, financial acumen, labor planning, vendor relations, internal/external stakeholder development, automation, IT enablement, sustainable delivery, and material handling requirements.This role is foundationally rooted in executing solutions and operations that support business growth measured through gross profit, revenue, and tonnage while demonstrating the best version of Life Science Logistics in the market segment.Key Responsibilities:
Participates and supports commercial and operations to develop and implement strategies that support customer satisfaction, customer retention, and growth.Reviews daily operational performance for key LSHC customers to ensure service and financial KPI's are achieved.Engages and provides solutions and pricing for LSHC pricing proposals, selecting solutions based on customer requirements.Engages commercial and operations management in problem resolution to identify issues affecting work progress and recommends solutions.Provides Healthcare expertise and leadership to management, operational personnel, and customers.Ensures process metrics are established and reported for process controls to ensure quality and service promise are achieved.Develops and executes business flows and plans incorporating time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, procurement, and systems integration.Provides clear and concise project stakeholder communication, as well as internal team communication.Builds and maintains effective cross-functional relationships with business leaders, global stakeholders, customers, commercial teams, regulatory, quality, finance, and other key stakeholders.Works with DHL Quality Team to design validation protocols and delivery of solutions for adherence to the solution requirements.Understands and preempts customer needs and integrates this insight into sustainable solution designs.Develops detailed designs for the solution incorporating the scope of services, operating model, resource models, operating cost estimates, and draft P&L.Captures core data and assumptions required to design, cost, and price the solution for the customer.Drives relevant conversations internal and external to define solution investments and market relevancy for sustained Life Science Healthcare growth.Develops repeatable and clear training protocols incorporating roles and responsibilities as a tool kit for DHL DGF station and leadership.Identifies and grows local resources and networks within DHL and its partners for operational alignment on LSHC Pharma trade.Skills / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or 5 years related experience in healthcare logistics.Previous experience as a Supply Chain Manager, Pricing Analyst, or Customer Program Manager in a complex multinational organization preferred.Ability to handle complex situations with customers and multiple responsibilities simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to solve business problems.Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.Keen attention to detail with strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to influence in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Cold Chain and Quality background with demonstrated delivery.Benefits:
