Are you a passionate, hard-working and focused individual with video production skills and a curiosity about sports and social media content production? If you are, we want to hear from you! As a Social Media Producer/Editor, you will create social content for publication across Octagon’s roster of athlete and talent client channels. Your work will include asset management, content ideation, editing, presenting for approval, and publishing. You’ll push creative boundaries to produce engaging content and stay one step ahead of the current social media landscape.
Do you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.The position is located in our McLean, VA office and is a paid full-time role.Who we’re Looking For: You have 1-2 years of professional experience working in social media video editing and production, or a recent college degree in a related field.You are up to speed on trending topics, sports, music, culture, and content.You have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, Photoshop, and Canva; particularly vertical video production, graphic template manipulation, graphic design for video and static assets, along with photo editing.You are skilled in using mobile and platform-specific in-app video editing tools for creating reactionary and real-time content on the ground as needed across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Snapchat.Your ability to shoot and capture video content is a plus.You are a great communicator, and you easily pitch and explain ideas and editing features to clients.You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.You are able to move at a fast pace, work on tight deadlines and create reactionary, real-time content as needed.You have a social first mindset with a passion for creating what’s next as opposed to what’s now.You have the ability to find and adapt viral trends to video edits, eg. TikTok and Reels.The work you’ll do: Administer database of media content; ingest and organize footage; transcode video files; sync audio and video, assemble edits, and log footage while adhering to internal SOPs for project naming conventions.Work with the Manager to ideate platform-specific videos and create engaging content across various client communities.Work with cross-functional teams on assets, revisions, and delivery.Attend shoots and or events with Manager when necessary.Produce and edit both long and short-form platform-specific videos for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Snapchat.Keep a pulse on what’s next to present and create new content ideas weekly, including trends, graphics, and unique ways to feature clients.Quickly assemble edits and implement revisions.Capture tone and produce content that is on brand for clients, while being open to exploration of multiple directions if needed.Use data and research to identify social results and trends to inform production and editing.As needed assist with publishing content to client platforms.The bigger team you’ll join:
