for a company I represent that are considered a Federal Contractor as they make radios and other communication devices for the Military and 1st Responders.This is a 12 month contract with a good posibillity of going permanent.
Pay Rate:$24 per hourWhat You Need to Bring to the Table:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate's Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.Related experience teting radios and speakers; assembly and immersion testimgWhat You Will be Doing:Responsible for performing inspections, tests and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems for in process or final assemblies.Some of the tasks include, making sure a battery fits correctly on the radio, Testing speaker mics (talk test and hooking up to computer to do programming), there will also be some immersion testing. They will have a team to help them and full instructions on what to do. They will need to sort parts, there will be some repetitive motions and this is not a really technical role Needs to be flexible to support other inspection projects as required.Reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies.Reviews and reports performance data.Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards.Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection. May interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers.
