Job Description:Join our dynamic non-profit foundation as the Director of Communications and Events, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our communication strategies and events. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Communications and Events, you will oversee key development and marketing communications as well as event planning and production.
Responsibilities:1. Development Communications:
Craft compelling and strategic digital, print, and email communications to support key events, fundraising efforts, donor relations, and brand awareness.
Develop and maintain consistent messaging across various platforms, aligning with the foundation's mission and values.
Collaborate with the development team to create campaign materials that engage and inspire donors.
2. Content Strategy & Creation:
Oversee the production of high-quality communications, including the annual report, quarterly newsletters (print + email), donor stewardship materials, and other marketing collateral.
Ensure all written materials align with the foundation's brand voice and effectively communicate its impact and goals.
3. Event Logistics:
Support the coordination and execution of successful events, including our Robert S. Folsom Leadership Award dinner, ensuring seamless logistics from conception to completion.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify and secure event venues, vendors, and necessary resources.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
5+ years of marketing communications experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience in planning and execution of large-scale events highly preferred.
Familiarity with non-profit organizations and a passion for the foundation's mission.
