The primary responsibility of the
Manager, Email Marketing
is to build email communications for Preferred Travel Group (PTG). This role will manage and execute all brand level email communications to both consumers and hotel representatives. The Manager, Email Marketing will be responsible for supporting the business by driving customer acquisition, engagement, revenue, and conversions through email communications. As needed the Manager, Email Marketing will provide additional general support and may work on projects with the eCommerce and Marketing teams.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Under the supervision of the Director, Lifecycle Marketing the Manager, Email Marketing shall liaise with multiple internal departments such as corporate communications, public relations, business development, regional executive vice presidents, associated Preferred Travel Group brand teams, sales to support their respective activities, and liaise with digital agencies as needed. There is also regular interaction with member hotels and their representatives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage end-to-end execution of email campaigns, including HTML build, edit, QA, deployment, and reporting, including dynamic messaging and personalization.
Implement process controls and procedures to ensure campaigns are executed on schedule and without error.
Perform end-to-end quality checks, ensuring content accuracy, links, landing page functionality, and segmentation.
Use database management skills to segment our audience for email targeting.
Build out relevant triggered programs based on behavior data.
Ideate and execute A/B testing and analyze results to determine actionable opportunities and best practices.
Stay current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to email.
Manage internal email calendar and channel strategy to drive increase revenue and traffic goals.
Develop and continuously improve segmentation strategies within CRM systems to increase retention opportunities.
Implement detailed customer journey flows with email trigger points to drive customer loyalty and lifetime value.
In coordination with eCommerce Manager ideate on customer UX from email to booking point to improve on landing experience.
Work with Email Service Provider and ensure they meet all service level requirements.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all email communications. Offer ongoing training and education to Marketing team members and other departments on how to improve our email communication practices.
Assist in other eCommerce related projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of hands-on email production & management experience is required.
Dynamic scripting experience is desired.
Fluent in HTML/CSS.
Systematic approach to data management and segmentation.
Strong communication, relationship, project, time management, and analytical skills.
Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
Expert understanding of CAN-SPAM and email regulatory compliance is required.
Experience with Epsilon People Cloud Messaging is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage a large number of email programs simultaneously.
A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communication studies or a related major is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Candidate must be based out of a Preferred Travel Group office location (Newport Beach, CA, NYC, or Chicago). This position is expected to work in the office 2-3 days a week.
