The Director of Influencer Marketing will develop and lead Thorne’s paid partnership and influencer strategies, and ambassador program. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive partnership and influencer marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, new customer acquisition, social and website engagement, and revenue growth. This position will be responsible for the full end-to-end go-to-market implementation of this strategy from ideation to execution. The Director of Influencer Marketing will be a key stakeholder on the Marketing team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build strong relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors who align with Thorne’s mission and values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement a robust influencer marketing strategy that integrates paid influencer partnerships and brand ambassador initiatives to achieve marketing and business objectives.

Build creator & influencer partnerships that attract the Thorne primary and secondary target audience, building brand awareness and fueling new customer acquisition.

Execute omni-channel campaign activations and calendar, both in concert with planned marketing activations and bespoke to the channel around key moments.

Oversee relationship with Thorne Ambassadors, creators & influencers, social media platform creator networks, agencies and other partnership organizations.

Work closely with the paid and organic social media, affiliate, PR, legal, medical affairs and cross-functional marketing teams, as well as the Sports Partnerships sales team.

Ambassador Program:

Program Growth: Grow Thorne’s existing Ambassador program, improving ambassador reach, traffic, engagement, and revenue metrics.

Ambassador Recruitment: Identify, recruit, and onboard Thorne ambassadors (including macro creators, micro creators, and everything in between) who reflect our ethos and target demographic, executing paid campaigns in support of this initiative. Foster genuine relationships that encourage their active participation and advocacy.

Content Collaboration: Collaborate with Thorne ambassadors to generate authentic user-generated content (UGC) that aligns with Thorne’s marketing objectives. Encourage ambassadors to share their personal experiences with our products.

Training and Support: Develop training materials and ongoing support resources for Thorne ambassadors to ensure they understand brand messaging, product information, and best practices for engagement.

Campaign Planning and Execution: Develop Thorne ambassador campaigns to support monthly brand messaging, new product launches, and seasonal advertising campaigns.

Community Engagement: Create opportunities for Thorne ambassadors to interact with each other and the brand, fostering a strong community through events, social media groups, and exclusive communications.

Performance Tracking: Prepare regular performance reports analyzing key metrics, including impressions, engagement rates, traffic generated, and conversions attributable to the Ambassador program.

Constant Improvement: Ideate and execute on ways to improve Thorne Ambassador efficacy and make recommendations for ongoing program improvements.

Paid Influencer Program:

Influencer Strategy Development: Create and execute a targeted strategy for paid influencer partnerships that drives brand awareness, consumer engagement, and sales conversions across relevant platforms.

Influencer Identification and Outreach: Identify potential influencers in the wellness space across all platforms, with a focus on TikTok, for paid campaigns. Develop outreach strategies to initiate partnerships and negotiate terms.

Internal Partnership: Partner with the Thorne Sports Partnerships team to create a holistic sports partnerships strategy, and to ensure partners obtained through the Sports Partnerships team generate content and revenue for Thorne.

Campaign Execution: Lead the planning, launch, and optimization of paid influencer marketing campaigns, ensuring that brand messaging is effectively communicated and aligned across all influencer content.

Budget Management: Oversee the budget for paid influencer initiatives, ensuring proper allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment through strategic partnerships and negotiations.

Performance Analysis: Analyze campaign metrics such as engagement, traffic, and conversion rates for paid influencer efforts. Generate reports that provide actionable insights to refine future campaigns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and creative teams to align paid influencer strategies with broader marketing initiatives and upcoming product launches.

What You Need:

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES / PROFICIENCIES:

– Satisfactorily achieving and/or meeting the following Experience, Competencies, and Proficiencies are essential duties of the job:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required. 7+ years of experience in influencer marketing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or director role, preferably within the wellness or consumer goods industry.

Experience with the Grin Influencer Management platform preferred.

Have a deep understanding of the creator landscape and how to authentically foster the right partnerships.

Have established relationships with influencers, content creators, and brand advocates within the wellness space.

Possess strong analytical capabilities with experience in performance tracking and reporting. Proficiency in analytics tools, campaign management platforms, and social media metrics.
