Duties and Responsibilities
Art Education
Teach pedagogy courses in Art Education emphasis curriculum
Content Areas include Art Education Theory and Practice, Elementary Art Education
Methods, and Secondary Art Education Methods
2-D
Teach courses in 2-D and Illustration areas to non- majors, majors, and minors
Possible fully online course solely for non- majors
3-D
Teach courses in 3-D Areas to non-majors, majors, and minors.
Possible fully online course solely for non-majors
Required Education and Experience
Appropriate Master’s degree required
Substantial professional experience in Art discipline
Experience in university-level teaching
Ability to relate well with students and faculty in a regional institution within an environment of shared governance
Job Type:
Unclassified, Adjunct Faculty, four-month appointment
Appointment Duration:
Semester

With 6 full-time faculty, 3part-time faculty, and 50 majors, the department offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with four emphases, including Illustration and Visual Storytelling, 2D Art, 3D Art, and Art Education.
