About the role:Our biotech client is seeking a Graphic Production Designer to create materials for a wide range of marketing initiatives with global reach. Working in both print and digital mediums, as well as short-form video projects including motion graphics, you will create materials that bring scientific and technical concepts to life in visually compelling ways. You are both a designer and production expert and a detailed, meticulous doer. This a hands on role, in a fast-paced environment. Must have basic editing skills and motion graphic experience, as well as being well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite.

*This is a remote role based in San Francisco, however California / Pacific Time candidates are preferred.

*This is a full time, 40 hour per week role. Candidates must be able to work M-F during full time office hours. This is not a freelance position.

*Must have Photoshop and Figma experience.

*Must have experience in organized design file management.

What you will be doing:Develop various print, digital, and environmental graphics, including brochures, online and print advertisements, trade show/conference graphics, presentations, social media, and field marketing toolsCreating icons, infographics, logos, figures, and other graphics and manipulating graphics using Adobe Creative Suite programs like Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, etc.Formatting graphics to ensure brand standards for color, font, and production qualityProofreading: reviewing final copy and layoutsTroubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during production, including working with the creative team and printerSelect and edit photographyFollow a development timeline to ensure tasks are completed on timeMaintain high quality output while keeping multiple projects on track in a fast-paced environmentUse strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills to partner with members of the design, writing, channel and project management teams on a daily basis as well as stakeholders in other parts of the organizationManage, maintain, and archive graphic files using Bynder DAM (digital asset management system).Contribute to sharing best practices and helping the greater organization learn the vital nature of designParticipate in creative team brainstorming meetings to generate strong design conceptsTo be successful in this role you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, multimedia, visual arts, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of design experience in an agency or in house in the biotech, life science, technology, or related industryA portfolio of creative collateral demonstrating your aesthetic and skill setExpertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Word and PowerPoint and adept at learning new programs and leveraging their strengthsExperience with FigmaPrevious experience working with digital asset management and project management toolsVideo, and/or motion graphics experience, editing in post productionPassion for working with technical content and minding the finest details to create flawless workProven track record of being able to work flexibly - balancing a mix of independent projects and highly collaborative projectsStrong fundamental design skills, including expertise in typography, composition, and colorPossess strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present and sell creative ideasExceptional organization skills to meet deadlines and keep files structuredAbility to establish good working relationships and communication across diverse teamsDedication to producing great workStrong desire to understand and protect consistent application of the brand

Client Description

The target hiring compensation for this role is $40 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
