Job Summary
The Senior Technical Designer - Exclusives, is a vehicle to respond to exclusive off calendar, reactive product creation, included but not limited to account/ business unit exclusive product/ special make up's (SMU's), Made in the USA collections, innovation test products. This role is accountable to ensure any requests are accepted, scoped, balanced and acted upon in a timely manner, while communicating progress updates cross functionally to all applicable stakeholders. The Sr Technical Designer- Exclusives builds and fosters strong collaborative relationships with internal/external partners, and cross functional teams whilst fostering a sense of urgency.

Representative Responsibilities Manage the Technical Design activities for exclusive product creation/quick response and off GTM calendar project and products Work with category teams to ensure consistencies between all and any quick response product and mainline Carhartt product. This includes fit, function, construction and details. Align any quick response projects / product with the vision and strategic plans provided by the Technical Design Director, Corporate Strategies and Global Product Initiatives. Timely and relevant project / product progress updates to applicable cross functional stakeholders. Foster Relationship with cross functional peers, associates and leaders. Ensure prioritization of initiatives and operate with a sense of urgency Partner with Technical Design Category lead and Manager to ensure team alignment and linkage to all strategic and tactical plans. Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Apparel, Textiles, or related field; or equivalent years of related experience in lieu of degree Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including but not limited to: leading projects, leading company initiatives, leading in creation of and/or roll out of new processes, etc. Experience working on a team that has a startup approach (ambiguous) and working outside of traditional development model with ability to execute against accelerated timelines. Project management skills preferred Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be flexible, solution oriented and adaptive to changing priorities, as well as effectively manage and resolve conflict. Demonstrated ability to build and foster business relationships with cross functional teams, and internal and external partners. Effective communicator, verbal and written. Good presentation skills. Excellent organization and planning skills; and the ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects at the same time. Proficient in PLM, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Smartsheet, etc. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required. Light lifting may be required, 25 Lbs. National travel required, up to 20%. Some international travel may be required, up to 10%. This position has a Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities. Carhartt is a tobacco free workplace.
