Job Description

Arcadis' Seattle office is seeking an Interior Designer to join our team! The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and have experience in retail design projects. We are looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated individual who is a self-starter and can work both independently and as part of a team. The candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation and documentation abilities.

A solid understanding construction documents and experience in construction administration is essential. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of building and accessibility codes/standards and be capable of delegating tasks, mentoring, and training intermediate and junior designers. The candidate should have an interest in developing project management skills and ability to effectively collaborate with consultants, contractors, and clients.

The ability to multi-task, follow through on assignments, and meet deadlines is crucial. Additionally, strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative and an excellent team player, with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Role accountabilities:Individuals will work in all aspects of design - programming, space planning, material selections/specifications, construction documents and construction administrationWillingness to travel during construction administration up to 4-6 times per yearParticipates in meetings and can present to clientsManage multiple projects to deliver all phases of the projectDemonstrate a clear understanding of the architectural design process and how to effectively integrate interior elements and concepts with minimal supervisionReview preliminary space plans and design concepts to ensure code, accessibility, and functional requirements are metReview shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFI'sCoordinate and issue document revisionsProduce innovative design concepts that meet the client and project needs while also respecting the project budgetContribute to and develop solutions to technical and design problemsConceptualize and describe design ideas through 3D visualization, including graphicsQualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

Associate or bachelor's degree in interior design5-8 years' relevant interior design experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Proficiency in REVIT is required
