Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.We are hiring for a Director of Product Communications on our Communications and Corporate Affairs team. As a senior leader on the Communications team, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive product communications strategy that enhances Chime’s consumer, corporate, and engineering brands; supports our business goals; and advances our position as an innovative technology leader in the fintech industry. This role will focus on telling the story of how our products and technology works to consumers, policymakers, and investors.

In this role, you can expect to

Develop strategic communications campaigns: Develop and implement a comprehensive product communications strategy that supports key business goals and enhances the company’s reputation.

Be a media relations expert: Build and maintain strong relationships with business, tech, and trade media outlets.

Collaborate cross functionally: Work closely with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure consistent, clear, and compelling messaging across campaigns and channels.

Own the story: Oversee all aspects of product launch communication plans, including media relations, internal communications, and writing of press-facing materials such as press releases, blog posts, product demos, and case studies.

Measure effectiveness: Use first and third party data to measure the success of communication strategies and adjust accordingly to improve engagement and impact.

Serve as a team leader: Serve as a leader on the Communications team and across the broader company, bringing best-practices to the function and mentoring junior employees to grow the overall capacity of the organization.

To thrive in this role, you have

Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, preferably within the fintech or technology sectors.

Proven track record of managing product communications and media relations with a successful history of building and growing a function.

Strong understanding of the fintech landscape and regulatory environment.

Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans with measurable outcomes.

Experience partnering with C-suite executives and promoting their visibility and thought leadership.

Strong leadership skills, with experience managing – both directly and indirectly – high-performing teams.
