The employee will coordinate, edit, and review customer project documentation for publication and distribution; ensure layout and visual content are consistent with the subject matter; document customer tools, user manuals, applications, and online sites; and document business processes throughout the lifecycle. This is a highly visible position and will require a self-motivated, well-versed, and knowledgeable candidate to support the organization.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customer representatives and other stakeholders to define technical specifications and determine the subject matter for publication.
- Organize and complete writing assignments according to established standards for clarity, order, conciseness, style, and terminology.
- Develop and maintain online-help documentation, ensuring it is user-friendly, up-to-date, and is Section 508 compliant.
- Develop standard operation procedures (SOPs) and user guides to support process improvement efforts, and application roll outs.
- Assist Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and Project Managers (PMs) in translating requirements into functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring clear and actionable project deliverables that align with business objectives.
- Work with Project Managers (PMs) and other support staff to draft memos for agency-wide and department-wide formal communication, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across the organization.
- Edit, standardize, and make necessary changes to materials prepared by other writers or team members.
- Review published materials and recommend revisions regarding scope, format, content, and methods of online posting and or reproduction and binding.
- Maintain comprehensive records and files of work and revisions for future reference.
- Select and arrange photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to effectively illustrate documentation.
- Assist in positioning materials for publication, ensuring an engaging and professional presentation.
- Document processes, workflows, and system configurations to enhance transparency, maintainability, and ease of use.
- Facilitate communication and issue resolution between customer, relevant stakeholders, and technical staff, ensuring alignment and understanding.
- Analyze industry developments to identify the need for revisions in existing materials and the creation of new documentation.
- Communicate relevant updates and notifications to appropriate business users and develop reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and project progress.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in requirements development.
- 3 years of business analyst experience (federal experience preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated experience in developing documentation that meets Government standards and is prepared in final format for official approval.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a commitment to high-quality output
- Experience with management information systems (e.g., financial, accounting, budget, purchasing, etc.).
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

- Ability to read and conceptualize diagrams, specifications, mockups, and product samples to accurately integrate and detail technology, operating procedures, and production sequences.
- Computer skills to include but not limited to, skills in operating Microsoft Office software, with emphasis on Word, OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel, Power Point, and Visio.
- Section 508 compliance and the creation of 508 compliant documents.
- Ability to manage large, complex spreadsheets and database tools.
