Salary Range:

$66,304 - $84,597. Maximum salary upon new hire is $66,304.

Working Hours and/or Working Conditions:

40 hours per week, with some remote work allowance.Flexible hours based on college need, including extended evenings and weekends.Travel between campuses and off-site locations as required.Must be able to lift and carry 25lbs or more and bend and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of video switchers, keyed graphics, audio mixing and EQ, signal flow routing and distribution, live streaming encoders and streaming protocols, and camera systems.Familiarity with video web conferencing platforms (Zoom, Meet, Microsoft Teams, Teams live events and Stream), online video platforms (Youtube, Vimeo, Brightcove, Panopto, Kaltura, etc.).Deep networking knowledge and in-room production design knowledge (conference rooms, event spaces, studios, training rooms) are a plus.Must be creative in thought and work well with others, especially subordinates and clients; should be innovative on the job and be able to plan and carry out assignments with little supervision; ability to train and/or supervise less skilled employees performing related technical work.

Job Function

The Manager of Audio Visual (AV) and Media Services is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and exceptional ease-of-use of event and rental AV assembly and presentation spaces,. The ideal candidate will have expertise in audiovisual design, programming, and implementation of enterprise AV systems, advanced-level experience in video streaming and broadcast systems troubleshooting. This role may involve programming, installing, and maintaining audio-visual systems for clients, ensuring solutions meet client requirements and expectations. The manager will assist with the setup, operation, and removal of technology solutions in various environments, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, the manager will perform technical aspects related to conference and event productions, assisting in all on-site AV operations while collaborating closely with departments and clients to ensure seamless AV solution integration.Job Responsibilities

Ensure the demonstration, presentation, and broadcast systems -used for college-wide and public-facing events are stable and reliable, and always available.Troubleshoot rapidly and in real-time repair AV systems during critical events in order to prevent impact to brand integrity (external events), productivity (large-scale internal events) and customer satisfaction.Implement and maintain user-friendly self-service functionality of the college's most complex spaces so that internal events can scale without being tied to staffing levels.Standardize design and provide internal expertise for upgrades of AV systems in the college's in-house event spaces.Teach/train end-users, speakers, and presenters on usage of the in-house systems.Create build standards for audiovisual assembly/presentation spaces and support internal and external build teams during event space build-outs to ensure standards are understood and met.Implement and maintain global AV preventative maintenance and break/fix service plans.Develop and implement digital signage throughout various locations at the college.Research, design, and build device connectivity kits for live streaming, and portable production kits for remote live events.Assume a "Manager-In-Charge" role during critical live productions.Manage and staff various technicians during live events, including the use of outsourced services when required.Set up, test and adjust AV and sound equipment.Plan and set up for lectures, live music, dance, and other performances.Collaborate with architects, engineers, IT, construction divisions and related personnel for new construction and renovation projects. Prepare specifications for the purchase of equipment components and/or AV systems.Communicate effectively with clients and event staff.Maintain skills to keep current with the newest techniques and best practices within the AV industry and compatible with the college needs.Supervise and train full and part time staff as assignedEducation

Bachelor's Degree in audio, sound or acoustical engineering, digital or media arts, or a related field; or equivalent in-field experience such as 5+ years of professional work in sound engineering, audio production, or a related discipline, with a robust portfolio of completed projects and/or industry certifications.Must have valid driver's license, insurance and reliable transportationQualifications

3+ years experience in design, installation, and troubleshooting of enterprise AV including direct experience implementing and using live video switching and streaming systems.Fluency with production AV equipment (Ross, Blackmagic, Shure, Yamaha, BiAmp, Panasonic, ClearCom, Elgato, etc.) as well as experience and fluency with enterprise AV (Cisco, Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, etc).Proficient in using specialized tools and software for testing and calibration, as well as understanding blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Able to demonstrate a knowledge of complex diagnostic tests, repairs, and preventative maintenance of AV systems. Demonstrated understanding of electronic systems and components.Working with audiovisual build standards. Direct experience authoring such standards is a plus.Working with AV over IPProficient in commonly used presentation tools such as Pptx, Prezi, Kahoot, Polleverywhere, Microsoft Forms, etc.Proven experience managing digital signage platforms such as Rise Vision or CleverLive, including tasks like content creation, scheduling, and system troubleshooting a plus.
