SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER / PROJECT MANAGER COMPENSATION: Annual Salary ($70,000-$90,000 based on experience) and benefits JOB BRIEF : Parkway East Design is looking for a talented Senior Interior Designer to join our growing team and help manage both residential and commercial projects for our high-end clients. Under the direction of the Principal Designer, you will help direct the studio’s projects as you coordinate a team of designers to deliver an exceptional experience to our clients. Our ideal candidate is someone who inspires all with their contagiously positive attitude, becoming the heart of the studio as they breathe life into each new project. Candidates must possess a solid mastery of the design process, command experience working with a team, and demonstrate an exemplary portfolio of work. If you’re truly passionate about design and looking to lead out in the industry with a company that prioritizes their team then we’d like to meet you RESPONSIBILITIES : Offer your talents generously within the studio, pitching creative solutions to deliver tailored result that meet our clients’ unique needs Work closely with the Principal Designer to manage workflow on multiple design projects at a time, ensuring each project progresses on schedule and comes in under budget Draft proposals for potential projects, creating budgets and timelines that join both the client’s vision and our studio’s mission Take on a wide variety of tasks at every stage of the design process (e.g. creating presentations, meeting with clients, drafting, pulling fabrics, ordering samples, corresponding with vendors, etc.) Model the highest standards of professionalism and design, encouraging values of a healthy company culture while elevating all to the highest standards of excellence Read, review, and approve selections, drawings, purchases, etc. from team members, considering the technical implications of design decisions while mitigating errors and mistakes Keep detailed records as you track, document, and report on the team’s design activities, performance, and progress toward goals Nurture lasting relationships of trust between the studio and our clients, vendors, and contractors, promoting the studio’s mission in all we do Maintain an efficient team as a strong leader-servant through effective communication, collaboration, motivation, and respect toward all members Seek out learning opportunities to keep up on industry developments, welcoming and offering constructive feedback within the team in order to nurture a spirit of support and collaboration Assist with general office upkeep and operation (e.g. organizing library, filing project documents, coordinating with marketing, running errands, etc.) MUST HAVES : BS/BA in Interior Design or relevant field 5 years industry experience and notable portfolio of design NCIDQ certification (or in process of certifying) Mastery of the design process, design techniques, & visual elements Organized and on task while managing multiple priorities on deadline Personable and professional demeanor Clear communication & presentation skills Highly collaborative nature & supportive team member Motivated when challenged to seek out new solutions Honest, reliable, and trustworthy Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail A passion for learning, always striving to develop their skills and abilities Exceptional skill with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, & Adobe Creative Suite Willing to work out of our St. George studio location (this is not a remote position) NICE TO HAVES : Experience using Asana and Studio Designer software PERKS & BENEFITS : Profit Share Paid Time Off Flexible Work Schedule Extra Long Holidays Health Coverage Options NCIDQ Reimbursement Local Memberships Snacks & Meals ABOUT THE COMPANY: Parkway East Design aims to become one of the most trusted and sought-after names in bespoke interiors.
