We are looking for a talented professional to fill the position of Head of Marketing – Turf & Ornamental/IVM reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. As the Head Of Marketing, you will be responsible for the conceptualization, planning, and implementation of sustainable, commercially accepted, and effective Strategic Marketing Plans providing marketing direction for the Turf & Ornamental/IVM business. These Marketing Plans include all aspects relating to product, project, and portfolio management, pricing, as well as marketing promotions.The position ensures that the targeted customer and end-users understand and 'buy-in' to the product and solution packages and oversees three (3) Product Manager roles. The role is instrumental in achieving the business team’s set targets within the budgeted expenses, thus contributing significantly to the overall success of the company and the achievement of its financial and business objectives.
The Incumbent Will:• Define, develop, and implement with the members of the Turf & Ornamental/IVM Marketing Team the marketing plan providing strategic direction for the T&O/IVM businesses to set marketing and business development strategies to address the short, mid, and long term.• Define & conceptualize channel plans in collaboration with Golf and Lawn/Landscape Market Managers.• Work closely with Marketing Communication to develop and implement marketing programs (e.g., branding, PR, and communication initiatives) as part of the overall marketing plan for the Turf & Ornamental/IVM businesses.• Prioritize market and End User Research for the Turf & Ornamental/IVM businesses in close coordination with Marketing Planning and Projects as part of the overall marketing plan.• Supervise and provide active mentorship to the Marketing team to support the implementation of projects and portfolio initiatives via cross-functional teams comprised of marketing, product development, and regulatory along with the expanded team of supply chain, formulation development, packaging technology, customer service, and legal to set clear objectives for development, regulatory, and manufacturing activities.• Drive portfolio strategy in the Turf & Ornamental/IVM businesses by means of Portfolio Analysis and work out recommendations on Life Cycle Management, Portfolio Consolidation/Rationalization/Optimization to enhance overall profitability and growth opportunities.• Manage interaction with Commercial Operations, Regional Sales, and National Account Teams to establish and maintain consistency between Portfolio & Brand Strategies, Marketing Plans, and Commercial and Channel Strategies and support the sales activities.• Ensure that all contracts and agreements with internal & external vendors (e.g., for lead actives) for Turf & Ornamental business are in place in close cooperation with Strategic Procurement and Business Development.• Manage expenses and budgets assigned to the team and support the annual budgeting/STRACO processes as well as other global or local projects.• Drive Turf & Ornamental/IVM Business Strategy as a member of the Business Operational Leadership Team (BOLT).• Play an active leadership role (as a leader country) in supporting Global Turf & Ornamental/IVM segment as a member of the Global Market Platform and support of Newport.This position requires:• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, business, or related field.• Experience in Business, communications or related field and a minimum of 12+ years of current, progressive, relevant experience in Turf & Ornamentals, IVM, crop protection, pest management, and/or marketing.• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to coordinate between multiple functional groups and individuals of varying financial acumen.• Strong experience in Team Management & leadership.• Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills that lead to innovative and timely decisions.• Strong financial skills paired with sound commercial understanding.• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and statistical analysis packages.• Strong written and oral communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations to all levels of the organization.• Strong business knowledge must understand the competitive marketplace and its dynamics, knows the customer, and anticipates changing demands.• Capable of delivering results with little supervision and effectively prioritize duties.• Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and accurately while meeting deadlines and giving the highest attention to detail.• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed, up to 30%.• Must have authorization to be immediately employed within the United States long term.Preferred Skills:• Master’s Degree in Marketing, business, or related field is preferred.• Ability to collaborate in a global environment is preferred.• Product, strategic portfolio management, and channel experience are all preferred.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
