Responsibilities
Analyze the SEO landscape and determine where our biggest content opportunities existImplementing SEO content through CMS system and identifying streamline ways to improvePushing forward on up-to-date SEO best practices, algorithm shifts and industry to provide critical direction on content and website planKeeping a close eye on competitive content and SEO tactics to help break through new areas of opportunityBeing proactive in recommendations and execution on content SEO optimizations to drive results including (content, UX, linking)Consistently tracking and reporting SEO performance. Ability to go beyond surface level into deeper analysis and rigor of key drivers of performanceBuilding and executing an internal link building strategy to distribute SEO flow and build authorityRequirements
2+ years SEO experience and can demonstrate use cases and executionUnderstanding of the SEO industry and evolving landscape and function principles of search enginesProven track record of SEO content creation for scale with an editorial teamAbility to drive results through increasing traffic, improving brand, and site visibility through key analysis of research, competitive opportunities and executionStrong data driven thinker who can problem solve and tie data to core decision making and growth of SEO trafficGood understanding of conversion funnel and customer acquisition from search intent to conversion; including how to optimize the funnel for growthExperience using SEO tools such as (Google Search Console, Google Trends, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and more)Familiarity with Google Analytics, Looker, and other data toolsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation for resultsWorking knowledge of HTML, CSSHas strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize.Is proactive and a self-starter but can also work cross-functionally across multiple teams.Weekend, off-hours and/or working a staggered schedule likely required.Desirable Qualities
Previous experience working for (or within) a gambling companyExperience writing articles, communicating in person with an English-speaking audienceHas existing media relationships and experience working with content and SEO teams.
