A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDIA PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

As a Media Production Coordinator, you spend your day operating the studio and remote TV cameras, lighting equipment, editing equipment, and other television/film production equipment. You oversee contracted audiovisual vendors, set up video camera, audio system, and other special audio-visual equipment. Perform on-air switching for live events, assist in the recording of events, programs, or projects. Your job is essential to the city, and monitor on-air signals for quality control and troubleshoot issues that may occur. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. This can include preparing and checking audiovisual material for on-air playback via automation systems and program logs to ensure that material aired meets Spectrum PEG regulations When you aren't out in the city, you generally assist department director concerning television/audiovisual systems and capabilities, and equipment needs or specifications. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with operating hardware, satellite receivers and computer-based systems in master control, and you find genuine enjoyment in what you do!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A

GRAPHICS & MEDIA DESIGNERAssociate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in related fields.

Five (5) years' experience in television/film programming and studio production.

Preferred: Seven (7) years' experience in related field.

Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record.
