Together we champion creativity and build thoughtful experiences and content that solve business problems and bring brands to life.We are seeking a freelance mid-level Graphic Designer to work with the IN creative team on a project basis. As a Graphic Designer you will be tasked with developing visual identities, branded toolkits, graphic packages, and various physical & digital elements for a variety of experiential projects with a diverse client range. You will simultaneously be involved in fulfilling RFP requests and working on in-production work. You should be capable of transforming existing brand guidelines into unique visual identities. This includes the ability to translate these concepts into impactful environmental graphics seamlessly. Key responsibilities involve creating print mechanicals with precision and efficiency.The candidate should be comfortable and effective in communicating with vendors and fabricators, ensuring a seamless and collaborative workflow. Candidates with skills in animation, illustration, UI or 3D will be given preference. Being immersed in and thrilled by the latest trends in culture, design, and technology is crucial, as is the development and critique of visual identities through the use of mood imagery.Additionally, this role will positively contribute to making Invisible North's culture an envy of the industry, a studio that turns out jaw dropping creative and design and does so by upholding an inclusive, flexible and giving work environment.While our main office is located in DUMBO Brooklyn, we work as a distributed team with members reaching from Maine to LA, and everywhere in between. This position is contracted on a project basis, remote or hybrid (NYC), and should expect to work on ET hours.Skills + Qualifications3+ years experience in art direction, branding, print, packaging, infographics, and digitalExperience in experiential preferredHighly proficient at Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and can create original and unique graphics with a clear POVMust be able to work in Google SlidesExperience in creating production and mechanical files for printBachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related fieldThe ideal candidate should have agency/client experience in spatial and digital designAble to embody a can-do' team spirit whilst striving for cutting-edge, impactful workAbility and flexibility to work on multiple projects and being able to build/lead graphic identities while also taking direction from the CDFlexible across a wide array of clients - beauty, fashion, luxury, consumer goods, tech, fitness, media, crypto etc.Mentor and lead less senior members of the graphic design team, giving them appropriate feedback when necessaryAble to successfully work remotely during EST hours, or from our NYC office if desiredAble to travel to project locations and the IN Office as neededAvailability to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed for specific projects (and to be made up with compensatory time off)CompensationHourly: $60-$100*This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.At IN, we acknowledge that in order to be a forward-thinking, culture-led agency, we must actively foster and uplift a multitude of perspectives, backgrounds, and ways of thinking within our team.
