Embedded QA Tester, Armature Studio at Meta in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Summary: Armature, in partnership with Meta's Reality Labs organization, is seeking an Embedded Quality Assurance Tester. As an EQA Tester, you will be responsible for executing daily manual testing tasks to ensure the quality and reliability of our game. You will work closely with our developers to maintain high quality standards and collaborate with the EQA Lead to identify, document, and report any defects found in the product. Required Skills: Embedded QA Tester, Armature Studio Responsibilities: 1. Utilize a VR headset to test and evaluate apps/games for extended periods (5-7 hours/day), identifying defects and quality concerns that impact user experience. 2. Create clear and detailed reports for the projects as applicable. 3. Install, setup, and maintain VR hardware and equipment. 4. Promptly bring serious defects to the attention of the stakeholders. 5. Help review and analyze any necessary software, devices and hardware needed. 6. Attend and participate in stand up development and related meetings.They're expected to take notes and relay any information to the appropriate stakeholders to ensure all information is passed along properly. 7. Coordinate tasks with other departments - coordinate additional testing requests and questions with stakeholders, ensuring that all information is being communicated and that tasks are handled within the current workload. 8. Collect, analyze, and present various key metrics when needed by engineering or other developers. 9. Proactively find problems or make suggestions. 10. Provide detailed positive and constructive feedback to the manager of your team as to the performance of other members on the team. You take part in helping to make the team better. 11. Operate in varying degrees of ambiguity, responding quickly to shifts in priorities and needs. 12. Assist with game demos to ensure smooth product presentation to stakeholders. 13. Perform duties that are not necessarily defined within the role. As a smaller studio, there are many jobs and duties that are not defined or assigned to a single person. These duties often overlap with regular duties, and it is imperative to be able to help where applicable. 14. Learning new technologies and investing in your skills on your own. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 15. 2+ years of professional QA game experience or related. 16. Experience with bug tracking software such as JIRA. 17.
