Rebecca School is seeking an Assistant Media Specialist. Rebecca School is a therapeutic program that utilizes the DIRFloortime® method, a developmental relationship-based model of teaching instruction developed by Dr. Stanley Greenspan. Our school serves children on the autism spectrum along with students with neurodevelopmental disorders, ranging in ages 3-21.
The Assistant Media Specialist will support the EdTech & Media Department in managing and organizing digital assets, ensuring they are easily accessible to staff. This role includes photographing and videoing student events, attending field trips, and contributing to the development of a comprehensive digital asset library. The Assistant Media Specialist will also assist with the setup of media literacy and game development groups, and travel weekly to the school’s North location to capture important moments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and Organize Digital Assets-
Develop and implement systematic naming conventions for digital assets, and assist in relaying information to staff regarding the location and accessibility of these assets.Event Photography and Videography - Attend field trips and student events to photograph and video significant moments, ensuring high-quality documentation of school activities.Support Media Literacy and Game Development Groups - Assist in the set up and execution of media literacy and game development group activities, contributing to a dynamic learning environment.Develop Digital Asset Library - Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of the Rebecca Schools digital asset library, ensuring all media is properly cataloged and accessible.QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in digital asset management and event photography.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Willingness to travel weekly to different school locations.Familiarity with media literacy concepts and game development is a plus.BENEFITS
