Amazon is seeking a talented, self-directed marketing leader to drive awareness, customer adoption, and demand generation for Amazon Web Services (AWS) within the Education Technology (EdTech) and Government Technology (GovTech) sectors. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast growing business.

The EdTech/GovTech Field and Partner Marketing Manager is responsible for driving growth and impact for AWS across EdTech and GovTech customers. This highly strategic role interfaces with AWS EdTech/GovTech sales and partner leaders to align marketing efforts that deliver comprehensive value to customers. The manager will ensure the AWS direct marketing plan is inclusive of partners, and consistently activating the right value propositions to drive customer value through webinars, case studies, digital campaigns, and other repeatable motions.

Key job responsibilities

Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns, webinars, case studies, and digital initiatives to generate qualified leads and drive pipeline for AWS and its partners.

Ensure marketing initiatives add value to EdTech and GovTech customers by delivering scaled programs, campaign execution, and strategic initiatives that address technology adoption.

Continuously enhance marketing programs and identify new opportunities to serve EdTech and GovTech customers, enabling them to innovate with AWS on behalf of their end customers.

Collaborate with partners to create joint marketing plans and motions that highlight the combined value proposition of AWS and partner solutions for Education and Government customers.

Work with partner teams and field sales team to influence the EdTech and GovTech business strategic partner plan for sell-to, sell-through, and sell-with objectives.

Earn trust and maintain strong relationships across the organization to support goals, and communicate with internal leaders and builders.

Lead campaign reporting and post-mortems, ensuring all projects have clearly defined success metrics which are tracked, analyzed, and communicated

Willingness and ability to work independently and autonomously.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

5+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience

Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

Preferred Qualifications

Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, high-tech products/services

Experience executing scaled marketing campaigns through email or social media

Experience in partner marketing, channel marketing, or related fields within the technology industry

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
