Description
We are hiring a Director of Sales & Marketing for our authentic and upscale hotel! The Downright Austin, a Renaissance Hotel, is located near the University of Austin campus. It offers 367 rooms and suites that are bold and inviting. This property has over 17,000 square feet of event space and is close to 6th Street nightlife. It has been recently renovated.
We are seeking an experienced full service hotel sales leader who has a proven track record of effectively leading teams to effective teams, and also developing solid relationship with customers and hotels owners.
The DOS will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
Provide the highest quality of service to our customers at all times.
Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets.
Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
Understand and keep up to date with industry and competitive landscape knowledge.
Guide sales and marketing efforts as well as advertising tasks, public relations and administrative reporting.
Define and implement sales and marketing activities according to the Marketing Plan.
Prioritize, document, and organize work to meet deadlines .
Lead and develop a high-quality sales team.
Qualifications:
Prior Director of Sales Experience (5+ years) in a full-service or luxury hotel property.
Prior Marriott experience desirable, experience with CI.
Heavy marketing experience.
Experience as a Director of Sales in the Austin of Texas markets preferable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to analyze financial and competitive data to make informed decisions.
Prior experience leading, motivating and managing successful sales teams.
