Department BioThe Division of Development and Alumni Relations leads the university's efforts to strengthen and promote an invested alumni and donor community that inspires lifelong loyalty and advances GW.George Washington University is recruiting student content creators for the GW Digital Ambassador team to help inspire alumni and members of the community to support GW through our annual giving program.The GW Digital Ambassador team for the GW annual giving program will serve as the primary liaison between the institution and prospective donors through video and call center outreach.The GW Digital Ambassador team will connect with alumni, students, parents, and friends of the institution throughout the year, helping educate the GW community about the impact of giving.Position Specific Summary
While completing work with a high degree of autonomy, employee will:
Work within GW marketing standards and guidelines.Serve as an ambassador for GW by discussing University initiatives, accolades and accomplishments through video and calling.Calling alumni, parents, and friends to build personal rapport, update demographic information, and secure donations.Participate in all aspects of video production to deliver a steady stream of video projects adhering to strict deadlines, including, but not limited to, scripting, filming, and video editingProducing straight-forward, "authentic" video (using phone to capture in-the-moment, compelling content) to provide the audience with an inside look of student lifeVideo editing via tools such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro
Standard Position Description
The student will manage and/or design marketing and communication strategies and content for departments and/or special events. Tasks may include: Planning, creating, managing and executing marketing plans and campaigns, website resources, digital content and design, and/or managing of social media accounts. While completing work with a high degree of discretion, the student will work within organization marketing standards and guidelines. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
