Duties:
Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and cleaningsDiagnose and treat oral diseases and conditionsDevelop treatment plans for patients based on their oral health needsEducate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive careInterpret x-rays and diagnostic tests to determine the extent of dental issuesAdminister anesthetics to patients to minimize pain during proceduresCollaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to provide comprehensive dental careMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and recordsSkills:
Proficient in medical documentation and record keepingKnowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocolsFamiliarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentialityStrong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistryExperience working with pediatric patients and providing age-appropriate dental careAbility to take and interpret vital signs during dental proceduresProficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or DentrixNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and skills required for the position of Dentist.
