The vision of IF:Gathering is to equip people around the world with gospel-centered resources, events, and community so that they may learn about who God is and disciple others right where they are. We believe discipleship is the way Jesus said the world will change.
To this end in 2025, Gather25 will hold an unprecedented event to mobilize the Church to reach the world so that every person on earth may know Jesus. On March 1st 2025, for 25 hours, we will gather the global Church across five continents for prayer, repentance, and commissioning in an event called Gather25.
During those 25 hours, we will host five live events, as well as a free live stream, in order to mobilize the 2.5 billion Christians on earth to participate in the mission of God and "go and make disciples" of the 5.5 billion people who don't have a relationship with Jesus.
Job Summary
The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives with a focus on email marketing and project management for various initiatives. This role requires a versatile marketing professional with a deep understanding of integrated marketing communications, audience segmentation, and campaign performance analysis. The ideal candidate will bring a diverse marketing background and demonstrate expertise in crafting and optimizing email marketing strategies and project management.
Reports to: Digital Marketing Director
Core Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan to take the "I'm In" email list and guide them towards becoming Gather Groups hostsDesign and execute email marketing campaigns that engage target audiences (event attendees, Gather Group hosts, donors, etc.), drive conversions, and enhance customer retentionManage email calendars, content creation, and segmentation strategiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (storytellers, copywriters, etc.) to create compelling messaging and content for newsletters, promotional emails, drip campaigns, and automated email flowsMonitor and analyze email performance metrics, identifying areas for optimization to improve open rates, click-through rates, and overall engagementWork with the graphic design team and brand team to continue improvements in the overall look, feel, and design of email communicationLead the development of advanced audience segmentation strategies to deliver personalized and relevant content to different customer segmentsCoordinate and oversee communications projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timely delivery, and adherence to budget and resource constraintsCollaborate with the Director of Brand Strategy to define project goals, objectives, and requirementsDevelop comprehensive project plans, including strategies, campaign briefs, timelines, milestones, and resource allocationManage digital asset creation and organization for the live 25 hr broadcast event, including working with designers to create and edit slidesWork with designers and the event team to manage asset creation for broadcast event signage templatesQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or a similar role, with a strong emphasis on non-profit and email marketing and strategySelf-starter and problem solver; agile and flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExperience in online donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship preferredProven experience developing and managing email marketing campaigns, including familiarity with email platforms like Keap, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similarStrong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiencesAnalytical mindset with experience interpreting data and using insights to refine strategiesExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent project management skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong understanding of strategic communication principles and best practicesAbility to think critically, solve problems, and make informed decisions under pressureDiscretion and confidentialityOwnership and maturityPersonal thriving relationship with Jesus ChristPassion for discipleship and evangelismLives in or willing to relocate to Dallas, T
