Job Description

As a Marketing Program Manager, Diagnostic and Genomics you will plan, design and execute marketing activities within the Diagnostics and Genomics Group (DGG) in the Americas Field Organization (AFO, US in particular). The objective is to generate demand to support profitable sales and growth within the region. In this position you will effectively design the regional marketing programs and execute the global marketing strategy to establish and implement a go-to-market strategy for the AFO region. Moreover, you will develop the business case to select the appropriate program tactics and report the success of your programs. Together with the AFO Field Marketing team, Commercial Marketing, and Worldwide (WW) product management, you will govern all outbound aspects of new product launches and manage the portfolio-mix through the entire product life-cycle. The role also involves working with different commercial stakeholders to establish compelling messaging and positioning for Agilent products and services in relevant markets, create awareness, generate demand, and enable the sales team through guidance, tools and training. The MPM also develops and shares business intelligence and insight to drive sales channel behavior in close collaboration with the Head of Sales and District Managers in AFO.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute marketing strategy in AFO by assuming overall responsibility for the implementation of marketing programs and activities in AFO. This includes:Providing feedback and implementing both global and regional plans and programs.Measurement and evaluation of marketing programs. Implementation of corrective actions to ensure delivery of targeted results & objectives.Collaboration with DGG MPMs to discuss regionalization, market tends, events and training needs, as well as local activities and product launches.Driving in-depth technical product and application discussions around campaigns and new product launches with Product Specialist and Field Application champions.Developing, deploying and measuring promotions to stimulate sales.Managing budget in conjunction with campaign architect.

Lead all CRM related aspects of sales & marketing integration (CRM and reporting).Define training for new product introductions and to enhance region competency, leveraging expertise from Product Marketing, Applications, R&D and other departments as required.Work closely with the AFO Demand Generation team to develop program metrics & effective tactics mix. Collaborate for all CRM related aspects of sales & marketing integration.Work with the sales channels to monitor & analyze competitive information and customer data to facilitate effective program development.Coordinate with WW Product management and AFO business Managers for ongoing product management over promotion and placement changes.Qualifications

Bachelor's or equivalent in genomics/pathology/molecular biology/biochemistry, cell biology or comparable, PhD preferable8+ years of commercial experience in life science research, biopharma or clinical/diagnostic settingStrong practical and technical knowledge of genomics technologies such as NGS, qPCR, microarrays, IHC, and automation of such workflowsExcellent presentation and communication skillsAbility to think strategically and translate to tactics which can be implemented to drive customer preference and demand for Agilent's diagnostics and genomics solutionsAbility to engage and motivate direct sales teams across a wide geography, including the development of clear sales direction and necessary actions/owners/timelines to assure revenue optimizationDemonstrated skills in teamwork, creativity, results-orientation and strong persistence to reach goalsAbility to travel ~ 35% of the time

Additional Details

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $132,435.00 - $260,456.00/yr USD in the US, or $112,905.00 - $188,175.00/yr CAD in Canada, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
