Job Description:As a .NET Web Developer, you will work closely with the designated IT supervisor, project managers, and other developers in an agile development environment. Your responsibilities will include requirements gathering, application design, application development, testing, deployment, and technical support. You will be responsible for new application development and supporting legacy applications utilizing .NET, C#, Java, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, SQL Server, and other technologies. Additionally, you will port Java code samples and libraries to C#.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Client staff to gather requirements and deliver new applications and support legacy systems.Develop applications using .NET technologies, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.Conduct thorough testing and deployment of applications to ensure quality and functionality.Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Document and verify the resource's experience and competence in relevant areas during the interview process.Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.Mentor technical staff and provide guidance on best practices for application development.Manage time and resources effectively to meet deadlines and project deliverables.Analyze and prioritize system and user requirements to drive successful project outcomes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
A minimum of 10 years of verifiable experience as a .NET Web Developer, with at least 4 years focused on developing ASP.NET Core MVC applications.10 years of verifiable experience in ASP.NET development using C#.2 years of verifiable experience with Java.2 years of verifiable experience with Microsoft C# .NET Core or .NET 8.10 years of experience with SQL Server Database Design and development, including query optimization and creation of tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.10 years of application experience using Entity Framework (EF) 4.0 or later.5 years of experience creating design mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code.5 years of experience consuming RESTful APIs.10 years of verifiable Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience, particularly with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).10 years of understanding N-tier environments as they relate to development and deployment.10 years of experience with code repository strategies and recovery using Team Foundation Server (TFS).5 years of experience implementing AJAX-enabled controls within ASP.NET web applications.5 years of experience developing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and integrating them into MVC web applications.Understanding of secure coding practices for ASP.NET MVC applications.2 years of experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) or experience implementing a testing strategy for applications.5 years of experience developing with Visual Studio; 2 years with Visual Studio 2019.5 years of experience with TFS/Azure DevOps, including Git, boards, and CI/CD pipelines.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
