CGI Federal is currently looking for a UX/UI Designer with active Top-Secret clearance to support a large project for a federal government client. The UX/UI Designer plays a crucial role in creating and enhancing the overall human experience when interacting with digital products, systems, or services. As a UI/UX designer, your responsibilities encompass all aspects of digital product development, including design, usability, functionality, and sometimes branding and marketing. This position is based in Huntsville, AL

Your future duties and responsibilitiesUser Research: Conducting user research to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors by gathering feedback, conducting surveys, and analyzing user data.Interaction Design: Designing interactive elements like buttons, menus, and navigation systems to create smooth and seamless user experiences through animations, transitions, and micro-interactions.Visual Design: Creating visually appealing designs that align with brand identity and user expectations, selecting color palettes, typography, and graphics for a cohesive and engaging user interface.Usability Testing: Conducting usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the interface design, identifying usability issues and making necessary improvements.Collaborating with Developers: Working closely with developers to ensure successful implementation of the design by providing design specifications, assets, and ongoing support during development.Continuous Improvement: Staying updated on design trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies to enhance the user experience, which may involve competitor analysis, attending design conferences, and engaging in design communities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this roleBachelor's degree in computer science, design, or a related field.Active Top-Secret clearance.Experience with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk, etc.)Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.Minimum of 5-8 years' experienceKnowledge of responsive design and mobile-first development.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Please note that due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $55,600.00 - $118,700.00.
