An awesome relentless Head of Design to come and disrupt the way people sleep at night by delivering best in class consumer experience to millions of users and impacting lives. The Head of Design will be an integral part of forming product strategy, lighter processes and smooth execution of the roadmap while implementing strong growth mindset practices and design.
The Head of Design has full ownership of design, KPIs and execution. The candidate is passionate about creating seamless design solutions, mentoring and driving the team to achieve the best results. As we see design as a very centric role of the company's success, the candidate should be able to advocate across the organization including leadership and other teams to foster design in their vision. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and an effective communicator. This role involves a hands-on management approach where half the time is spent, creating mobile and marketing designs but also analyzing and benchmarking the competitive landscape. Reporting to the General Manager.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, design and oversee the global design strategy for the Product, Content and Growth Marketing while aligning with the general vision of the company;Lead and mentor a team of product designers and art directors, providing guidance on design practices, performance evaluations, and career development.Advocate for user experience and design excellence across the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.Oversee the design process from ideation to implementation, ensuring compliance with platform guidelines (e.g., iOS and Android).Analyze user feedback and data to inform design decisions and continuously improve user experiences.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical constraints and enhance product functionality.Push a growth mindset through design using data and user feedback;Responsible for building and implementing best practices across all departments where design is involved;Create UX / UI mobile designs for BetterSleep product features, buttons, animations, logs, new content, emails, and marketing assets;Participate in A / B tests and leverage analysis in understanding user needs;Maintaining thorough documentation of the design process;Ensure compliance with Android and Apple guidelines, keep up to date and inform the team of new developments;Manage design workflows and optimize processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness;Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape to keep our designs relevant and impactful.Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.8+ years of experience in design, with a focus on user experience and user interface for mobile applications.Proven experience in a leadership role, mentoring and managing design teams.Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UI/UX projects, including user research, prototyping, and iteration.Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven design methodologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$200,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus, and extensive benefits. Total compensation is based on several factors - including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
