Soar with us PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Full responsibility of the Customer Support Technical Library which includes: • Administrative management and technical support for integrated library systems and applications • Manage, implement, and troubleshoot systems for optimal performance, usability and accessibility • Collect statistics for systems usage to assist with resource allocation, identify trends, improve metadata descriptions, and gap analysis • Investigate, implement, and support library technologies and resources, and develop and document relevant policies and procedures • Commitment to emerging library practices and technologies • Investigate and implement education technology and develop related training programs & documentation • Collaborate with internal departments including MIS, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, and vendors to maintain the Library's systems and services • Manage in-house digital collections • Digitize the current physical DFJ Library • Discard outdated and irrelevant material • Store data utilizing the Storage and Indexing System used by DA U.S. • Migration from File System to Digital Library • Reference and research support MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Associates Degree or equivalent experience • Three years of experience with an integrated library system • One year experience in aviation electronic information resources • One year experience in cataloging and metadata standards for e-resources • Intermediate level skills with information technology • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Products • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills • Strong customer service orientation ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor of Science Degree or any completed degree from an American Library Association or equivalent • Experience teaching or training people to use digital research tools • Proficiency with web design and familiarity with web standards and usability practices PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: • Office environment • Occasional work during non-business hours and weekends to meet deadlines • Some travel may be required NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): • Special projects as assigned by management
