Overview The Senior Director, Product Communications, will serve as a leader within Insmed's Corporate Communications team and a strategic partner to Insmed's marketing teams. The Senior Director will lead product communications and PR for Insmed's currently marketed product, for which we anticipate a label expansion, as well as its late-stage product candidate, which is expected to launch in the U.S. in mid-2025. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly anticipated, first-in-disease product launch at a rapidly growing global organization. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successful launch experience, strong business and media acumen, outstanding writing and editing skills, and a proven ability to work cross-functionally. This role reports to the Vice President, Corporate Communications, and manages one direct report (Director, Product Communications). Responsibilities Responsibilities: Drive a comprehensive communications strategy leading up to and throughout the launch of our late-stage candidate, including both disease awareness and branded communications Partner closely with Investor Relations and other cross-functional colleagues to help ensure a successful FDA approval announcement for our late-stage candidate with a surround-sound of strong communications Drive a comprehensive communications strategy for Insmed's marketed product that complements and enhances planned commercial activities as the brand prepares for a potential label expansion Lead communications around key data and regulatory milestones for both the marketed product and late-stage candidate, including milestones for follow-on indications for the late-stage candidate Support issues preparedness and crisis management for product-related issues Develop strategic earned media relations plans geared toward print, online, and broadcast outlets; maintain high-level oversight of social media strategy for both brands Keep a pulse on commercial activities globally to ensure communications strategies complement and support our commercial efforts in all regions; ensure communications strategies for both brands are harmonized as part of a broader respiratory franchise Provide high-level oversight of U.S. PR agency, helping to ensure high-quality deliverables that are both on time and on budget Partner with Internal Communications to ensure relevant brand updates are communicated to employees effectively Maintain in-depth knowledge of brands, including strategy, objectives, patient needs, competitor landscape, and HCP landscape, and apply this knowledge to communications approach Qualifications: Minimum of 12 years' experience in corporate communications in the biopharma industry, with a mix of both in-house product communications experience and agency experience preferred Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including strong scientific communications capabilities Demonstrated ability to partner effectively cross-functionally and work confidently with senior leaders on a global level Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced organization Demonstrated track record of patient-centered thinking Strong business acumen and understanding of the Commercial business; product launch experience highly preferred Bachelor's degree required; master's degree a plus LI-JT1 Travel Requirements Up to 20% Salary Range 207000-289867 Compensation & Benefits We're committed to investing in every team member's total well-being, now and in the future.
