Learn more about Annexon’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion our values and culture Position: The Vice President, Head of Marketing will be a pivotal leader responsible for shaping and executing the company’s global marketing strategy. This role requires a visionary marketer with a proven track record in biotech or pharmaceutical marketing, particularly in the commercialization of novel therapies. The VP will be instrumental in driving brand strategy, product launches, and overall market presence to ensure the successful commercialization of Annexon’s products. Responsibilities include: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive global marketing strategy that aligns with Annexon’s business goals and product pipeline. Drive market research initiatives to gather deep insights into market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to inform marketing strategies. Develop and sustain a strong, consistent brand presence across all channels, enhancing Annexon’s reputation and market position. Oversee the launch of new products, ensuring robust pre-launch, launch, and post-launch strategies that maximize market penetration and product adoption. Spearhead digital marketing efforts, utilizing innovative digital tools and platforms to engage target audiences and drive growth. Partner closely with R&D, Medical Affairs, Sales and other key stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives are integrated and aligned with company objectives. Manage the marketing budget with a focus on maximizing return on investment while ensuring fiscal responsibility. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence. Education, Experience, and Skills: Required: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field. A minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Extensive knowledge of drug development and commercialization processes, particularly in rare diseases and specialty therapeutics. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies at the global level. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in digital marketing and leveraging data for decision-making. Preferred: An MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
