About the Role As a staff-level team member on Marketing Data Science, you can expect to work on the following: Lead R&D for new and existing data science powered products at Northbeam. Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to take working proofs of concept into production for our growing customer base. Provide technical expertise and support for non-technical stakeholders (internal and external). Educate colleagues in other departments about the use of data science in marketing and advertising. About You Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a highly quantitative STEM field Strong first-principles understanding of statistics, linear algebra, probability, and machine learning Experience with at least three of the following: regression, time series analysis, causal inference, statistical testing, Bayesian modeling, optimization, signal processing Strong programming skills, and ability to implement data science solutions within a production codebase using clean, interpretable, and maintainable code Expertise in Python Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or quant Or 2 years of professional experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or quant and 2 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer Experience with (or enthusiasm about) working in a small, fast-paced company, and leading the implementation of projects start-to-finish in a results driven startup environment 2 years of media or advertising experience Ability to help internal and external stakeholders navigate the business trade-offs of technical solutions, and clearly communicate results to non-technical audiences in English Ability to design and build rich visualizations to tell compelling stories with data Good to Have MS, PhD, or academic research experience with a focus on quantitative or statistical methods Values Growth mindset - we're always learning and growing Customer focus - we want to make the customer happy with our product Ownership mentality - we think like owners in the business Radical candor - we're transparent and give direct feedback to one another Empathic disposition - we're kind to one another and help each other grow Benefits Equity package Generous base salary Healthcare Benefits (medical, dental, vision) Travel to meet with the team Flexible PTO Policy 12 Company Paid Holidays
