Job Summary Under general supervision of the department director and following established policies, procedures, and guidelines, assumes the responsibility for the application of statistical analysis, data mining, database creation and report building. Performs statistical analysis and reporting and makes recommendations to optimize data and inform business decisions. Works in conjunction with Marketing and Business Development to manage decisions regarding budget optimization and strategic areas of focus. Supports or assumes leadership of assigned projects throughout the division. This role is responsible for data analytics and additional support of performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, data visualizations and information dissemination. Responsible for participating in the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision-making capabilities. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Develop presentations providing key data insights and recommendations to department leaders. These duties are accomplished in conjunction with the appropriate stakeholders to include representation from appropriate internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other health care related field. 3 years of related experience including a minimum of 2 years of data analytics. Understanding of relational databases with experience using (ie - SQL query techniques). Experience managing multiple projects with varying degrees of senior leadership. 2 years of experience developing dashboards using (ie - Qlik Sense/QlikView, Tableau, or PowerBI). Proficiency with computer based analytical and reporting tools such as spreadsheet and database applications are required. Proficient with MS Office software including Excel and Access. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel.
