What Downstream Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health

Downstream Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions, and competition to inform business strategy and execute marketing initiatives aligned to business goals. Product and Channel Downstream Marketing is responsible for defining the market and driving channel strategy and growing product penetration across relevant channels and markets. This is inclusive of life cycle, market research, product or service commercialization, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding, and more to drive customer loyalty, business growth and profitability.

OptiFreight® Logistics is looking for a teammate to join in a hybrid marketing role with both channel marketing and product marketing responsibilities. This role is accountable for the execution of essential channel marketing initiatives (tradeshow strategy and execution, channel and message development, etc.) and product marketing deliverables (sales enablement through customer and market discovery, pipeline development and management, product positioning and KPI tracking, etc.).

This role will be required to coordinate cross-functionally to share insights and gain alignment on the path forward, manage relationships with internal and external partners, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders from a variety of functions, develops and document goals, and key performance indicators for each product and/or service in portfolio. Execute marketing strategies against established goals for return on investment, and product health other metrics.

Manage and develops content to support channel and product strategy. May leverage content created by vendors, internally developed content, or a combination. Evaluates quality and alignment with marketing objectives, and coordinates with Legal team to ensure all content is compliant with relevant regulations and internal policies.

Monitors key performance indicators throughout campaigns and product life cycle. Makes minor adjustments to strategy / tactics and customer targeting as necessary. Coordinates with Sr. Manager(s) as necessary.

Own elements and broader support for related product launches, including sales enablement. training, external positioning, marketing mix strategy development, and external market promotions.

Support ongoing and measurable sales enablement trainings to ensure all critical teams have all necessary information to efficiently commercialize and grow the product at or above expectations.

Performs analyses of data from marketing campaigns, pipeline or market intel. Coordinates with business intelligence teams or external vendors as necessary to track performance.

Reports on the performance of marketing campaigns during regular meetings with Sr. Manager(s).

Hosts broader sales training and discovery calls, while managing ongoing meetings cadences with internal stakeholders.

Summarize and clearly communicate key performance indicators and provides insight on high or low performance.

Analyzes market research, trends, projections, and innovations to formulate concepts for new marketing campaigns and approaches for products and services.

Develops understanding of competitive landscape and participates in industry conferences and other events to promote OptiFreight® Logistics’ products and services to stay ahead of market developments.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders to fulfill applicable financial and operational needs of orders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred.

4-8 years’ experience in related field preferred

Familiarity with logistics, especially in healthcare, and working knowledge of pharmacy operations, needs and requirements for shipping and logistics

Experience in channel development and marketing

Experience supporting new product launches through commercialization and sales team enablement

Experience working independently, using good judgment and leadership abilities, to manage short and long-term priorities and projects.

Demonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment.

Understands, and can demonstrate, sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications.

Demonstrates basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan, this includes identifying the appropriate channels to market.

Has the ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning and can establish and/or adjust the product offering.

Proficient in mining research/data and interpreting findings to solve problems and tell a story.

Microsoft Office experience with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Maintains a positive attitude with a focus on creative solutions and strong internal partnerships.

Ability to travel up to 10%

Anticipated salary range: $78,500-$112,100
